This one is an old time favorite, a recipe I used to make for my family when I was in middle school. It is a big recipe that makes giant cookies. While I enjoy chocolate chip cookies recipies like the one I posted here, sometimes it is fun to switch it up and make a different kind of crowd pleaser.
5 great things about Monster Cookies:
- The recipe makes a lot of cookies which is great for when you need to make large quantities for an event.
- The dough also can be refrigerated or frozen to save for later.
- There is no flour in the recipe
- There is lots of peanut butter and oatmeal so this can be considered a little healthy:)
- When you make this recipe around different holidays you can use different colored M&M's to make them festive.
I often cut this recipe in half and it still makes around four dozen, a whole recipe making close to eight.
12 eggs
2 lbs brown sugar
4 cups white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
8 tsp baking soda
1 table spoon corn syrup
1 lb butter ( no substitutes)
3 lbs peanut butter
18 cups quick oatmeal
1 lbs chocolate chips
1lb M&M's
Directions:
Starting in the order stated above, mix ingredients into a very large bowl. You may need to use your hands or two large wooden spoons to mix by the end. Heat oven to 350 degrees and place the cookies on a cookie sheet and flatten them a little with your hands. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown. Allow them to sit on the pan for a few minutes so they set up. This helps them to not fall apart when you pick them up, since they are monster cookies, Enjoy!
